Damn. As far as I can tell, there seems to be no existing tag for the Valkyrie transformable fighter from Macross... Also, I can't remember if this is a VT-1D that Hikaru Ichijiyo flies in the city. :-P

Is the VF-1D that appeared in the first episodes of the original 1982 TV series. The VT-1 is from the 1984 movie adaptation...

Okay, so "Valkyrie" is not an official term!?

veritech or valkyrie is the term used in Robotech, and I can't remember which one it is. The proper macross nerds will be offended if you use the Robotech term.

Veritech is the Robotech term, while Valkyrie is the official name of the VF-1 in Macross.

Yeah, official I believe it is a "VF-1 Valkyrie Variable Fighter", its just later models also end up being nicknamed "Valks". Kind of like how the Nintendo DS is still frequently called a "Gameboy".

And to nitpick, that probably isn't Hikaru's Valkyire, as this one is armed with missiles (I think he only went up with the gunpod) and, though hard to tell, the person in the rear seat appears to also be wearing a helmet.

...I just want to point out that it appears that Roys VF-1S has been hijacked and replaced by a Battletech Phoenix Hawk...
