I've never seen a laser sight with what appears to be a trigger. But then again, trying to realistically analyze anime is like giving out speeding tickets on the Indy 500.

No laser sights in the 1940s (no VR gear either, but whatever). IIRC it is a Colt Government and that attachment contains a mini grappling hook or something.
