Perhaps, but consider Super Metroid; her standard power suit was pretty slim. It's not until she gets the Varia that she bulks up.

The beginning of the teaser said Metroid 5, which should place it after Fusion. I wouldn't mind if they keep with the slim armor through the whole again, the giant pauldrons look goofy IMO.

Also, this armor has about the same figure as her original armor, so I doubly have no idea what you're talking about.
