I don't like getting jabbed by needles either, but I have a more practical approach to dealing with immunizations than Tamada does (especially compared to the jumping out the window part). I think for most people, you can subject much more pain to yourself than what you would feel from the injection, and you tend to build up a tolerance to pain (at least on a short time scale) if you have time to adjust to it. (Your body starts making endorphins and stuff to help work through the pain.) So a while before I get the shot I start pinching myself on the arm which I expect to receive the injection, hard enough to at least equal the anticipated pain level generated by the needle. This seems to make the prick a relative non-event. For me the soreness of the fluid volume injected is usually dull enough that it isn't a problem.
What I really hate is those spring-loaded finger-stick things people use to draw small amounts of blood. Jabbing a spot with that much tactile sensitivity is just unappealing; I would rather give a whole vial of blood from my arm rather than a drop from the tip of my finger. (I'm glad I'm not diabetic!) Fortunately for all the blood draws I can recall getting in the military, they took sample tubes (often multiple) instead of single drops.
Perhaps Tamada-dono is not good at getting injections either de arimasu? What's the matter, Fukuda?Hah hah hah!Immunization DayI'm ashamed to say, but this Fukuda is not very good at getting injections de arimasu...Fukuda really is a kid if she's scared of injections at this age huh!Wha-...!
