I know right? The whole announcement struck me off guard. Last time I checked, hololive said there were no planned auditions for english trials for vtubers. Makes me wonder when they actually recruited people for this.

Nah they had EN trials months back. And a few days ago Anime News Network managed to interview YAGOO who also mentioned HoloEN was coming soon.
