Reader-added tags include "Sasara train", "Iron surplus" and "Rails before meals". (More literally, "trains before meat", a riff on the "dango before flowers/practical over aesthetic" maxim.)
I don't know if I've ever seen a tram outside the last scene of Dr. Zhivago. Once every medium town in Britain had them, and now a few Northern cities have reinstated them. Always seemed a cool transport in retrospect. Better than an endless stream of cars at any rate.
