Still on the small side to be a handkerchief.
At least Fluffy managed to salvage it into a cup mat (if Tangorin was of any help), though, so it's not a total fail.

"Coaster" is a straight-up borrowed term, with no change in meaning here. While one can tell from context what a "cup mat" is, I've never heard the term used, whereas I've heard "coaster" plenty.
