@Guaro1238 Don't assume something is original just because you aren't familiar with the character. In this case it most definitely isn't.
@iridescent_slime Hello, i'm the guy who commissioned this piece and would like to respectfully disagree since art of my OC. She may be based off the existing Hellhound design yes, but there was some original thought put into it.
That's... not how this works. That's not how this works at all. When someone makes a blatant ripoff of a well-known character — and this is obviously just Hellhound with some added scars and a new outfit — no amount of ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL-ing is going to change the way we tag it.
Also, don't @-spam me just because someone downvoted your original comment. One message in my inbox is enough, thanks.
@iridescent_slime Well considering that I paid for the art, I should have the right to dictate how posts with it are tagged. How you feel about the art itself is irrelevant.

Even if you paid for it the character is still hellhound there really is no other way to look at it. Maybe if you had asked the artist to do more to differentiate the piece it be up for discussion but you didn't do that and all that's left is hellhound with tactical gear. You can call the character whatever you like in the privacy of your own area but here on danbooru she's hellhound from monster encyclopedia and not even the artist refutes that
Yeah, this is hellhound. It's just a specific hellhound OC, but that does not mean it isn't MGE Hellhound. Hell, the serial numbers aren't even filed off. I see this, I think someone is just doing something with the MGE set in modern times as opposed to medieval. That's not even the first time seeing that either. There is nothing whatsoever about the picture or commentary that says this is a wholly original character operating in a wholly original setting. Fuck, if you published this in a book or something I bet you could be sued for plagiarism!
