I have an MDR and an RFB and RDB and both are pretty good rifles. I have always liked bullpups though as I have a home built PS90 (which can be converted to a P90 using a trigger pack registered for company work, and a standard length barrel in my locker) as well as several bullpup conversions I made over the years. That being said, I kind of agree that the bullpup is a lot of hype and doesn't offer that much advantage. What you gain in shorter OAL, you lose in situational awareness when you go to reload or clear malfunctions. For rifles, size isn't that big of an issue (talk to the early post-9/11 mil/LE guys that did room clearing with an M16 o.o, That is a full length stock and a 20" barrel son!), it mainly is advantageous for SMG that need barrel length because they use a bottleneck cartridge (like the P90) but save those inches for concealment under a jacket.
