Not at all. It's good humored. Light-hearted, but it has some nice drama and atmosphere at times. Plus there's a very confusing cast member that may or may not be a boy, and oddly enough it's not a bad experience wondering about it.
It's mecha nerdgasms left and right imo. Plot is interesting, but the robots are badass. And yes, it also has boobage, though I wish it was more ecchi.
