Well, after all, it said on the package to let it cure for six hours! :-)
Well, stripping off the old putty and sandpapering took about 30 minutes, and as I whacked away at it, I was thinking how thickly spread it was from the previous repair. :-)
Also, I sprayed on a degreaser before filling it in with the putty.
