The new "nerf" really hurts newer players rather than Kengonito players. Kengonito players most likely have decent setups for their other elements, so a quick kill solution will always somewhat exist. However, for newer players, this forces them to focus on other grids that might not be their best, and while the endgame focuses on a "rainbow" playstyle, it's way too overwhelming for new players to focus on 6 elements.

It shouldn't take long for newbies to learn to grind at least for basic grid they need for every element when they find out Xeno Showdowns are not very off-element friendly and those are far more important in improving the respective element's grid and some have stupidly good mainhand weapons to pass. In the end, GW is just a competitive stage where one can put the result of their effort into test with some additional benefits and place for newbies to suffer regardless what they do.
