I hope she isn't using the "good stuff" and just using the usual mass imported vodka. I mean a universal solvent is a good thing, but one shouldn't waste a good Russian vodka on that (if they can even get a good Russian vodka in Japan).

The labels look like Stolichnya and Smirnoff. Should be a safe bet.

Heck, even most Swedes can't stand the smell (especially in confined spaces), even if they do eat it. IIRC it's forbidden to open surströmming cans inside apartments in Stockholm.

To be fair, she splashed the brine on the stairwell and doormat, so it's more like a deliberate prank (to annoy a neighbor as part of a feud) and vandalism instead of just opening the can. And on Christmas, nonetheless.

Really man, one of my former classmate pulled a prank with stink bomb (well the small chips bag filled with stinky chemical sold around dark street corner venders here) and in all of our surprise, the headmaster called the police to find the culprit...! In fact, those bombs considered to be illegal and dangerous because of the chemical substains inside, so thing really got out of hand quickly. We never got to see him again... (Well he was expelled and went to another provincial school, but never we heard about another smelly prank in our area again...)
