I am reminded of an argument I heard about the difference between a Geek and a Nerd.

I believe it was that a Geek has a lot of useless knowledge. Such as intimate knowledge of fictional things like anime and novels.

While a Nerd actually has useful knowledge they just happen to be really into. Such as computers or science.

I actually have a cousin that literally does math problems online "for fun". He's a huge Math guy.
