A reference to the Judgement of Solomon, I presume...except in this case the baby already comes in two pieces?
It's more likely a reference to the Honest Woodcutter parable - offering two valuable gifts (though one is more valuable than the other), but when the person confirms their good nature and rejects the gifts as not theirs to claim, hand them both the gifts as a reward.

....what's wrong, Master?I brought Sieg-kun here for Astolfo-chan.I thought that it would be better to give one for Jeanne afterall, you know...?You don't need to worry about me, so make their Noble Phantasm level 5 and give him to Jeanne. How kind...For that very kind Astolfo-chan, I shall give both.Take good care of them.Huh...?Why don't you bring both together and make it level 5?How kind...Rather than getting one, I'd prefer if you did that.A Noble Phantasm level 4 Sieg-kun, or a Noble Phantasm level 1 Sieg-kun, which do you prefer?
