Volly-bu is way too obsessive and possessive of Ai. I wish she would stop trying to monopolize & perv Ai and focus her attention on Ai's sister instead. At least the sister would reciprocate her feelings and wouldn't need to use Volly-bu's lil' bro as a replacement goldfish. Otherwise Volly-bu will feel more and more like a burden to this series.

I don't know, her failure to protect Ai-Chan while also not crossing boundaries is kind of endearing in its own way. I just think they need to tone it down or at least use it more sparingly.

Ai-chan's sister is just adorable here.

Volleyball-chan suffers from overexposure, unlike other characters who are given more dimensions or have had character arcs, she is consistently used for the exact same joke. Its making her look increasingly clingy and possessive.

I kind of like how Jitome-chan just kind of rolls with the punch. I guess being a priestess means she is used to highly public appearances.

The only real thing that saves v-chan is that she is completely open about her base desires around ai and that ai is 100% aware of said desires. We even had the side chapter where ai consents to groping (even if it was only to console). I'm not saying that this justifies her actions at all, but ai in particular does not strike me as a character that would let her get away with crossing a line, best friends or not (we've already seen previous retaliations in fact).

Really the biggest injustice, as people have kind of said, is we have almost no characterization for her other than her joke status. Maybe she's super-possessive because she's protecting ai from guys only after her tits, maybe she's just a raging pervert. Who knows.

But at the end of the day this is really just a silly ecchi picture set about boobs, so I'm certain we're all caring too much about this.

Also, concerning "go after the sister instead", she seems 100% oblivious (note the '?').

More like used to it because she is/was a prostitute. I dont know what's himura plan with her but that fact give me nothing but negative feelings about her.

Ummm... where, exactly, did you get that idea? She's only ever appeared before this as a student or a miko, and nearly all her appearances have to do with her having trouble finding a bra that fits.

There is nothing in the original twitter post that says anything about prostitution. Just because a Danbooru tagger throws that in there (incorrectly) doesn't mean that's the artist's intention for the character. It's probably she's just changing her clothes (or the same vague "looking at camera while wearing nearly nothing" plotless image that a lot of the early Tawawas were). When Jitome-chan has been with a guy, it's always been the same temple head guy with glasses, so if you insist on chaste waifu, she's been sexualized, but strictly monogamously sexualized.

Yes, considering his earlier works involved repeated sexual abuse, why would he be shy about saying prostitution? If Kiseki wanted a story with any kind of darker theme, why shy away now? His change in tone was deliberate, so why presume it was some kind of trick against evidence?

That said, I never noticed the cash. (Although in my defense, it's rather tiny.) Alright, I suppose it is meant to be prostitution. I guess the character was rewritten, the same way that the teaching assistant was retroactively given glasses after she became a recurring character.

I have to say you have very good debate skill but that make you tunnel vision hard. Allow me to quote one of my favorite comedians "You gotta wake the fuck up Dave, it's all about the money". Tawawa series started getting popular. That's why. Of course you are not gonna introduce prostitution or rape or darker theme in your newly on the rise series. Dont get me wrong I like vanilla I just dont like how he just casually brush things like what we are talking about as if nothing happened.
And I just want to point out that most if not all earlier tawawa artworks dont have any commentary whatsoever.

Here she is undressing, the following page is this. Which shows that she's changing into her Miko outfit. She also appears to be looking over change, including bills. If what she was holding is cash, its likely the cash that she has here.

Its not for prostitution and there is no indication, before or after, that this is the case. Its simply people taking the image out of context.

Now that I take a good look at it, that's a lot of 10k yen banknotes in that envelope. Probably close to 100k yen. Are you sure those aren't money for the shrine job? After all, the kind of envelope that would clearly display "10,000 yen" on the front would normally be the kind you get at the bank.
