Why's Pola fretting? Not like the lumpy carrier hurt her bad and the destroyer coup de grace'd her in the night... right?
It would make more sense for it to be Zara, since Jervis sank Zara in actual combat, while she merely scuttled Pola, and had help doing it. Still, without the British ships who share the credit, having both implemented Zara sisters fear Jervis makes sense.

But the artist's goal was to show a "powerful combination" (and citing Mazinger Z), so, despite Ark Royal not having had role in Pola's sinking, and Jarvis in Bismark's one, both fear their united force.

Not really: both Pola and Zara were scuttled by Jervis, neither was sunk "in actual combat". When torpedoed by Jervis, Zara was a floating wreck as a result of the battleships' gunfire, and in the process of scuttling herself. So there isn't much difference about which ship would fear Jervis more - in fact, I think Pola is the more suited one because her 'interaction' with Jervis was more prolonged (she was boarded by Jervis, the survivors taken off, then scuttled with torpedoes, as opposed to Zara that was just scuttled with torpedoes).
