I wouldn't be surprised if the navy wanted to use the "daughters" of shipgirls to create more shipgirls. Though I could very well see parents getting decidedly protective of sending their kin out to battle.

Depends on how voluntary it is, I suppose. I mean, multi-generational military families are far from uncommon IRL.
