I wouldn't be surprised if the navy wanted to use the "daughters" of shipgirls to create more shipgirls. Though I could very well see parents getting decidedly protective of sending their kin out to battle.

It actually sounds horrifying. A shipgirl falls in love, has a kid, and years later that kid also becomes a shipgirl because the war is still going on.
Or maybe its like Yano Toshinori's universe and their kids just happen to also be ships and its all good.

Depends on how voluntary it is, I suppose. I mean, multi-generational military families are far from uncommon IRL.
