Because you can always scale it down, or simply save the sample version. But you can't scale it up when it's originally a low-res version.

Should this have the garter_belt tag? The garter straps are attached to the corset not a garter belt.

Actually I can't scale down images once they are already this big.

I can't even save a file this big from Danbooru. Would I have been a year ago?

There is no limit to which I can save files anywhere else. Just Danbooru.
