Doorchain that can easily opened from outside, what's the point?
Most doorchains only allow like a centimeter of space through which one could peek, and are deliberately not enough for someone to stick part of their body through to lift the chain. If you had shears, you could still easily stick those through and snip them, but for most people, it's enough. Against someone truly determined to get in, even a deadbolt won't stop someone unless you've reinforced the door enough that its hinges or frame aren't weak enough that a single human couldn't overpower them with enough determination.
