In fact, all the units in Advance Wars are so heavily stylized and chibified, you might as well call them a different vehicle from the real world ones. Sure, some of the "tanks" in the game are modeled after the M1 Abrams while the rocket artillery looks like the M270 MLRS. They're not going to be tagged as such unless explicitly stated in-game.
