Anyone from Germany here or familiar with German culture to clarify if this is true?

I've experienced cases both for and against, but German cleanliness, order and efficiency are generally held stereotypes (for the most part fairly accurate).

In Ordung is a way of life, at least with the ones I've met.

I work in a German company, and my desk is by far the messiest. They have some interesting rituals before and after lunch as well.

It's about exactly how it works at the army too, no idea if US and japan army/Navy/SDF are messier... I'm one messy sergeant so I won't require perfect cleaning, but at least stuff should be aligned (also I'd give them 2 minutes top to get this room cleaned so it's not like they did a lot there lol)
