I don't think that's likely. Making alt costumes for 2d sprites is significantly more effort than for something that uses 3D models.

Dunno what's the significance with the Martian, or perhaps she'll randomly change her outfit every time she uses it (kinda like Len's Arc Drive in Melty Blood). If so, it's Mami cosplay time

It's supposed to be a reference to Men in Black. Men in Black actually started off as an urban legend of people claiming to be visited by supposed government agents after seeing UFOs and told to be quiet about what they saw.
