Ryuujo speaks with a Kansai dialect. This is interesting to me, because growing up in the 1990s and early 2000s, the translators/dubbers varied in how they interpreted it.

If I recall, Bandai standardized a "Bronx Accent" during the 90s, while ADV did it as a "Southern" accent. Though, since they were based out of Texas (where I'm from), it always came across more as too sing-song (ie. like some East Texas sh*tkicker).

Don't feed the abyssals, Ryuujou. They'll never leave.

It's the actual Chapter 1 of the three. The truth is that I mistook "Abyssal Naval Base Extra" as the first chapter. Would you prefer if I uploaded the pages to this pool (ie. inserting the scans into the front), or create a separate pool for it?

The more I think about, the more my own preference would be to make it its own pool, if only to avoid confusion and further delays.

Having heard and read both styles as some point, I think I prefer "Southern" for Kansai. That might because my starting experience was Asumanga's "Osaka" and while the "Bronx Accent" worked on paper, "Southern" fit some much better vocally compared to her original actress' slow spoken Kansai.
