To be honest, I was also working on this image, and if you look at it closely, the fix-it job for this and the jpg version uploaded by SciFi is quite shoddy. Generous and sloppy use of the brush tool and spot correction tool, and transfer of details to other parts of the image.
I didn't know it was a fixed scan until a couple minutes ago. No obvious crease on the one I used from Konachan to make the jpg, and the uploader is usually good at checking for faults.

It's mostly apparent when zoomed in, and compared side by side via overlay with the original. When resized, the detrimental quality is not noticeable. But there are some bits you can see even while resized, such as the jutting shadow on the floor at the middle-top and some of the more heavily-brushed fixes.
