This makes me wonder about the "Legitamacy" of using those wooden planks to control the dolls. Alice has become a class A puppet master to not need those but makes me think she uses them in public to make it seem "legit" or something. Which is kinda surreal in a place full of magic beings and mythical beast.

Kinda reminds me of when special effects alters the sounds or looks of real life things to fake because the real thing "Sounds fake". Meaning the public's perception has become so screwed up on how things should sound and look.

Truth is stranger than fiction indeed.

Considering how PMiSS states that Alice controls her dolls to control other dolls, I see no problem.

Could just be that Alice likes to do it the basic way when she does her performances.
