A stun_gun is a close-quarters weapon that requires one to make contact. post #952861 for example.
A taser is a ranged weapon that launches barbed electrodes toward the target.
All of the images tagged recently with taser are actually showing stun guns. Easy mistake.

On closer examination, the Sonozaki twins are holding a taser and a stun_gun.
