Anyway, the word for a bromance between two girls is "bromance". Being a bro in this sense is all about how someone acts; it has nothing to do with blood relationships, and there's no real reason to limit it by gender either.

You mean "friend zone" - but no, that's also not it. (That is the assumption that prevents actual cross-gender bromance in fiction, though.)
A bromance has to go both ways, or it's just unreciprocated bromantic feeling. Besides, keeping things to yourself is one thing, but actively deceiving the other person is hardly something a bro would do.
