The men of Gensokyo are so Badass and Overpower, no wonder they don't appear in any game (Unzan does, but it doesn't really count)

I'm going to comment again as I can't adequate explain how much this story disgusts me.

Touhou is a series with a bunch of cosmically empowered little girls that if they chose to could bring ruin to the planet several times over. Instead of conquest and aggression they chose to live peacefully in their own little slice of paradise just passing the days away amusing themselves with showy magic games and drinking parties.

With that in mind, this story is like watching a bunch of little girls having a tea-party until some asshole comes up to them, kicks over their table then starts slapping the shit out of them until they're bloody and missing teeth.

Maybe now you can see why this bothers me.

Just to elaborate why; these men are winning way too easily without any hardships. And for some reason bashing up another character for no reason is cool? Ugh, yeah whatever.

Reading the other comments from this manga, readers are going GAR for these supposedly uber powerful alpha males. Just because their kool since they bashed up X character who is super powerful!!

If power is the only thing that commands respect, then Hitler must be pretty awesome in his day, amirite? He threatend the whole globe and at least he had a (stupid) reason for killing Jews...

I'd agree with the guys complaining if they were actually accurate in their complaints.

These guys aren't, in fact, easily stomping the girls like they were Superman walking all over Spider-man. They are, in fact, cheating like Batman bringing kryptonite to an ambush on Superman (the girls being Superman in this case).

Kourin outright admits he can't beat a single one of the Moriya gang even in a one-on-one. He's just stalling them while the others do their thing, and can only do so because of the power of the Kusanagi. The moment the goddesses got even a little bit serious they almost killed him.

Youki is only beating Tenshi because he's turned it into a melee battle and she's not a real swordsman, she just has a powerful magical sword. The moment she stopped panicing because he was up in her grill and started using her powers she was able to fight back some. He's also probably the most genuinely powerful member of their little crew (which makes sense since he's basically an older, more skilled Youmu).

Unzan is only doing well against Suika because he's created cloud constructs in the shape of a pheasant, a dog, and a moneky; the three animals that helped Momotaro defeat the island of oni. He's using some kind of weird symbolism magic to exploit Suika's traditional oni weaknesses (which makes sense because Gensokyo is all about symbolism and belief).

Myouren ambushed Reimu and Marisa, and is using some kind of sealing tool that has been both upgraded and modded by Kourin to work specifically on them (it's somehow activated by their debt and uses their own personality flaws to empower itself, because it was constructed using things they own and that are familiar to them, and both girls hate getting out of their respective comfort zones personality-wise).

Later, Youki has to ambush Remilia in the rain and still barely wins (and his regular sword breaks). Then Flandre shows up and would have roasted him if Myouren hadn't ambushed and sealed her (notice Myouren has to jump people from behind a lot despite having a skill-set similar to Byakuren's), and even after being sealed she's making his sealing tool shake violently, showing she's trying to break out.

These are carefully planned raids by guys, exploiting the girls' weaknesses, and they are still barely pulling it off. It looks like their are ROLF-stomping at a casual glance, but even casual attention paid to the dialogue reveals the guys would have been raped (and not in the 'hentai doujin' way) if they had challenged most of the girls head on with no plan.

Its "cool" if you like reading JLA comics where Batman beats the bad guys by using his gadgets and outmanuvering them and exploiting their weaknesses. Whether the author keeps this tone throughout the whole story remains to be seen though.

To be fair, alot of people hate Batman because they think he shouldn't be on equal terms with Superman, Green Lantern and the like.

Batman brings Kryptonite to Superman and trounces him. Batman brings a yellow powder shooter to Green Lantern and punches him in the face. These are the same people that say "Batman never would have won if he didn't exploit weaknesses" which is entirely Batman's shtick in the first place.

If a super villian had some sort of weakness to cupcakes, Batman would just call the nearest bakery and store a kitchen in his utility belt.
