I'm sorry to say this, but the change in color is actually a side effect of Twitter converting the original .png to .jpg. I ran post #10618626 through a .png to .jpg converter and got the same color and pattern on the soles as in post #10633515.

Since the images are in different formats and have different details, is it really necessary to insist on rejecting them simply because of format conversion?

Yes, because these "different details" are due to corruption of the original image. We don't need the same image as a .jpg when we already have the .png. If someone prefers an artifacted .jpg over the original .png for whatever reason, they can convert it themselves.
