Biboo used an interesting alternate strategy: embrace the soup.
She stayed in the maggot water in the lower right corner. His maggoty projectiles disappear on contact with the water and don't hit you. He doesn't move low enough to hit you with his Vengeful Spirit. He also can't suck you in. The swingy spike ball can't hit you. The only thing he can do to damage you is dive into the water on top of you, or jump out under you, both of which are easy to avoid, plus the occasional add.
