i cant find the source, but i found this on other site
edit: nevermind, i think the souce is from fanbox and maybe that was paid reward

Even if it's a third-party_source you should provide it in the source field. Some approvers, me included, are ignoring stuff that has no source at all.

Seriously, if someone is so "disinteretested" in a work, then just ignore it instead of disapproving.

I personally want to be serious on this problem. I've seen posts with hundreds of upvotes getting "disintrested" disapprovals.

I accept the truth that danbooru is a subjective site, but I think we should be lenient to those pics people like.

All "disinterest" means is that an Approver looked at it and didn't approve it. The Approvers don't have control over the message; it's completely automated. The only ways to stop it from appearing would be either to approve it or not look at the post in the first place, which means the Approvers would stop looking through the modqueue, which means nothing would get approved. If you have a problem with the phrasing, then you can propose an alternative, but the message isn't going anywhere.

Edit: Sorry, I was mistaken. They do actually have to push a button (forum #362750). My fault for going out of my lane and making hasty assumptions about the modqueue.

Thanks for explaining - I had no idea about how it works until now.

One thing I would suggest is to clearify how this works, in some wiki page I'd say.

Disclaimer: personal suggestions

As for phrasing, I would choose "no action" in mod event page, and for the result box:

It has been reviewed by 15 approvers. 15 did not like the post enough to approve it. 15 did not react to the post.

I'd make a separate thread for this so it doesn't sidetrack this one and doesn't get buried under a bunch of new posts.

Odd request, because I am the artist of a few of the works I've uploaded here and I already had a few of my works on Danbooru before, but I wanted to upload a few more of my recent works that I consider better quality to my old gallery and to properly tag my illustrations.

But why were these posts all consistently not approved? (first two are uploaded by myself and I consider "good" quality, last one was uploaded by one of my fans but was still deleted)

Where as these posts (that are arguably of worse quality and also original work by myself but reuploaded by other people) were approved? (over half of the gallery under my name honestly, is of worse quality than my recently deleted uploads) (edit: added more examples by myself)

This one was also originally not approved until I submitted an appeal, but this one had a decent amount of bookmarks and is literally officially commissioned by Hoyoverse, yet was still deleted originally until I submitted an appeal.

So I'm really struggling to see what the actual criteria for art to remain up on Danbooru actually is? Is it quality, name recognition, or just whether approvers like it or not? Because if it's the latter, I'd ask them to reconsider or atleast provide some clarification.

If I've heard earlier here from a post buried here, I think selfuploads are subject to a bit more scrutiny or approvers don't look much there
Overall I think it's an activity thing. I suppose it's because this month isn't as busy as it is and not as much contributors are active based off what I've noticed. But (infuriatingly so), it's the mercy of approvers finding it good or not

Just to clarify, there is currently no official policy against self-uploads. However, that does not guarantee Approvers will treat them like any other post.

That's fine, but my Jane animation, FBI, and OSS illustrations weren't uploaded by myself yet were still mass disapproved by what, 8-9 approvers each time? + some of the recent self-uploads were also reviewed by 9 approvers and all disapproved. The Jane animation had over 30 favourites before still being disapproved. Yet so much of my old art gallery that I consider of poor quality was approved in the past, so I am incredibly confused as to the criteria is. Why was my old work considered fine, yet all of my recent work is enough to be consistently labeled as "bad" and deleted? I only started to upload some of my work here because people already were re-upping my work, and as a public art site I wanted to add some of the works I consider of higher quality here, but it's genuinely a bit infuriating to want to upload more recent original artwork with proper tags and character tags, then to be told it's worse than amateur art that I did 3-4 years ago? I don't get it, I'll submit an appeal for a few of these works but I don't think these are of bad quality, they're all hand-drawn, were popular on Pixiv, and with proper tags from the original creator.

Works not uploaded by myself, appeal was denied already, but I do not think the quality is bad (compared to other works in my gallery):

Also for some reason, it seems like I'm unable to submit an appeal for the last two despite having enough upload slots to do so. I don't know whether my account is just unable to appeal now, despite only having done so 3 times, or just a bug with the site. (edit: nevermind, somehow it's fixed for those two but I still can't appeal some posts)
