create alias on_model -> official_style
Some booru's use on_model instead of official_style. I myself forgot the official_style tag and tried searching on_model but nothing came up.

"On model" is a specific term in drawing and animation, not that it merely mimics the official style. You can make an entire parody video of an anime going OFF-model, despite being official.
It'd be worth double-checking how those boorus use on model and comparing it with official style here, before pushing for any aliases.

Yeah, the boorus I'm talking about use on_model as and instead of_official style. I figured since on_model isn't a tag here then it would be good to alias due to the usage on those other boorus, but I see that is apparently not a popular opinion😅.
Usually in the context of fanart, "off model" means "boobs and ass bigger than canon" and "on model" means "boobs and ass accurate to canon". In other words, off model would be alternate breast size (larger) and on model would be more like canonical breast size. It's only really necessary as a tag if you're Rule34 and everything is gooner tier proportions by default.

Along with what evazion said, I want to point out that you did not answer my question. I wanted an actual comparison, because you could easily end up applying a completely irrelevant tag concept onto official style, not "oh i haven't actually done a comparison, it's just that this tag doesn't exist here and terminologically they seem similar, so i'm aliasing without consideration of the consequences".

On the ATFbooru, on model is used the same way official style is used here. I was hesitant to bring ATF up just in case the main topic of that booru might stir up some crazies. I think I remember Gelbooru also used it at one point but the tagging on Gelbooru is so haphazardous and always changing that it doesn't qualify as an example. I can't specifically remember other examples but my brain is telling me that there were others when I try to remember.

So when you said "some boorus", you concretely only had one...

Concretely yes, but I been to so many boorus that it all kind of blends together leaving the impression that there are several. I'm still new at being a builder here so if I've broken some kind of established etiquette here in regards to evidence to back a BUR I'd be happy to learn.
e621 uses the same definition

"On model" describes fan-made artwork or animations of copyrighted characters, which are made to be extremely similar in style to the canonical art style of the media the characters are from, sometimes to the point of being indistinguishable from actual official art.
Technically, rule34's wiki says "on model" is for "similar proportions and style", but with how shit the tagging on that site is, I can't imagine anyone cares.

You didn't really break any established etiquette, you just didn't do enough research to make your case for your proposed utility alias, that's all. Normally, the utility aliases we've gotten for tags on other boorus, particularly the Rule34s, are relatively simple concepts, see forum #185071 as an example.
Official style, by contrast, is a more complicated concept by nature of it focusing on additional meta information - knowing what the official style of a franchise is. Notably, just because something is in the official style does not inherently mean it is on model. Ask a Dragon Ball fan that's paid attention to promo art, and they'll all curse the name of the Bad Promo Artist when he gets work over a beloved promo artist like Fenyon.
As such, it's worth better investigating how the "on model" tag is used on multiple boorus before making a utility alias proposal, because, just because it's used the same on ATFBooru, does not mean it is used the same on other boorus too. And that kind of inconsistency could cause trouble depending on whether a prospective off-site Danbooru tagger is tagging based on ATFBooru's or Rule34's definition. And you namedropping Gelbooru is doubly important because Gelbooru imports our aliases over, so if their on model tag is as haphazardous as you claim it is, then you'd just tag poison their version of the official style tag.
