I don't think it should be wrong to tag those posts upside-down because they're positioned upside-down to us, the viewer, if anything I'd be for removing the clause that these kind of posts shouldn't be tagged upside-down from the wiki.

Then how would we be able to find posts in which the subject is actually upside down?

Agree, it seems to have been added randomly with no discussion.
I added thoses examples due to the clause added by @Billyaabob as I didn't know they edited it without any discussion. In my opinion they should count as upside-down and that clause should be removed as nsmrtmr1 said above (forum #424757).

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
I believed a separate tag should be used to describe those specific "incorrect" scenarios but in hindsight, as mentioned by trapster77, different types of upside-down can be further filtered with other tags (also no tag that concisely describes the scenario comes to mind). I was also thinking "just because the character has their feet up doesn't make them upside-down like during a handstand", which once again in hindsight forgets to take into account viewer perspective.
Either way, putting in my own two-cents, I agree the clause I added should be removed. Apologies again for any confusion, will discuss before I make such edits in the future.
On a side note there should probably be a tag differentiating upside-down person (Ex: post #11016487) and upside-down background (Ex: post #8720816).
Edit: That being said, by the "upside-down perspective" definition of the tag half of the images tagged pov + reverse fellatio would also be considered upside-down, which feels a bit strange since, again, the character isn't actually upside-down.
To elaborate, there's a difference between simply the character being upside-down and the entire image being flipped upside-down as if someone used rotate in photoshop. I am unsure if there is a specific tag for that second scenario.

By looking through the tag? And they are upside-down in those posts.
No, they're on their backs. They're only upside-down in the sense that their heads are in a lower position in the image than their feet. This is completely different from people who are upside-down relative to the environment, like in the examples trapster77 gave. However, we shouldn't need to add other tags to find characters that are upside-down relative to the environment. If we're going to use upside-down for both kinds of posts, then we should make it an umbrella tag for two new tags so both concepts can be searched for properly.
I'd go with upside-down_environment. upside-down_background can't apply to simple_background posts with upside-down foregrounds, and upside-down_world implies the character is in some sort of mirror dimension where everything is upside-down, which doesn't account for posts where both the viewer and the subject are upside-down rather than their environment.
I would expect a subject tagged upside-down to be upside down within their frame of reference.
A character is not upside down just because their head is "below" their body on screen due to the camera angle.
If you were standing behind the head of a bed in real life, you wouldn't say the person lying in it was upside down just because their head was further down than their body within your field of view.
And if you rotate one of these posts 180 degrees, it looks like the viewer/camera is upside down, so it's not accurate to say that the image itself is upside down either.
So no, the currently listed 'incorrect examples' should not qualify for upside-down.
The composition these examples share (character lying on their back, camera angle from above and behind) seems common enough that it could get a tag though. I tried find out if there's already a name for it, but there doesn't seem to be.
I very much agree that upside-down should refer to characters being actually upside-down, not just clearly lying flat in a certain position to the camera, the added rule seems pretty common sense to me.

ok but if the clause stays someone might start removing the upside-down tag from posts with "head down feet up" before we come up with a tag for those posts
