Nobody has asked this before because this isn't a mecha site. I don't see any value in those tags.
I don't think the fact that this isn't a mecha website is a fair counterargument. I'd sooner assume that the reason why no one has ever asked this before is because a) sentient mecha are counted under the existing counter tags (ex. Optimus Prime being counted as a boy), so you'd have some characters with two counter tags now; b) even if you limited it to non-sentient specimen like the RX-78-2 Gundam, you're basically opening the door for counter tags for other inanimate objects with focus tags, like 1car, 2cars, or 1food, 2food, it'd be excessive.

I disagree with that opening the door for other inanimate objects considering how it should only apply to mecha's since they're are more "humanized". Nobody is going to want to search for 1car/1food since most images of said subjects/tags aren't as numerous. I was using 1other, 2other, etc. for non-sentient mecha's but they kept getting reverted. I see value in adding such tags and while I wouldn't personally use them for sentient robots like Transformers I see no problem with also adding them alongside 1boy/1girl.

Well, now you're running into the discussion of topic #27932, in my opinion. Because where do you draw the line on 'humanized'? Someone could use the same logic to propose 1pokemon, 2pokemon for humanoid Pokemon not being covered with the counter tags right now, and semantic drift would eventually force their use onto non-humanoid Pokemon, and suddenly you've got a situation arguing for 1animal, 2animals, or 1creature, 2creatures, which no one wants.
Additionally, any past proposal for new counter tags, like 1futa (topic #26396, topic #32434), implies that the preexisting counters no longer apply. So Optimus Prime would forever after be 1mecha, not 1boy.

No offense but I think you're overthinking it. Some Pokémon have genders specific forms, if they don't it's 1other/etc.. For creatures and animals it's unnecessary to change. Me using humanized was a bad term to use but I'm just saying that for mechs/robots, it's currently impossible to search for images featuring a specific number of mechs/robots.

We don't use the character counters for non-hunanoid animals and creatures. post #10777922 should not be showing up in searches for 1boy or 1other.

We're getting off track here but since it's been brought up. Even though Nidoking can only be male, I shouldn't tag a solo Nidoking picture with 1boy?

Not unless it looks distinctly humanoid, which I would argue Nidoking does not. Pikachu definitely doesn't count as 1boy, but Gardevoir often counts as 1girl because.... yknow. See tag group:character count for more clarification.
