Previously all gloves used for medics and nurses fell into either rubber gloves or latex gloves, technically both of them correct because they are made of some special latex/rubber material.
However, now we have the more accurate tag medical gloves. I made some edits to the rubber gloves wiki but I don't know if we should keep the second paragraph as you could argue that medical gloves should imply rubber gloves, latex gloves or neither. Just wanted to check.
Disposable rubber gloves like those are used in various other areas such as biology or chemistry labs, food handling, etc. They're not limited to just being used in the medical field as the tag name and current wiki would suggest.

Medical gloves is kind of a shit tag, IMO. We'd be better off pushing it into rubber gloves or latex gloves.
Maybe medical_gloves isn't the best name, but I do think it's necessary to distinguish between the "thin & tight-fitting" rubber gloves (i.e., the medical/laboratory kind mentioned above) and the "thick & loose-fitting" ones (the more industrial type). Can be very different fetishes…
As for latex gloves, I believe it's mainly the special luster that defines them, so there usually isn't much confusion.

Some reasoning other than being a "bad tag" would be nice.
Medical gloves was created to eliminate the ambiguity of picking between latex gloves and rubber gloves. Deprecating it without aliasing it to one of the two or at least proposing a wiki edit keeps this ambiguity

Probably would. Though one thing to make note is there are polyethylene (poly) disposable gloves, and while common in food prep, probably unlikely to see drawings of them. Their appearance would be like a glove-shaped plastic bag (Amazon example).

I don't have much hope that people will figure out the difference between latex gloves, rubber gloves and disposable gloves, but rubber gloves is Kawashiro Nitori + Florence Nightingale (Fate) and latex gloves is for the long black ones, so normal medical ones are hard to find.
