Splitting mixed artist

Posted under General

Are you sure they're separate artists? Looking at the artist history, this artist tag originally belonged to an "hd 1735" and was renamed because of their Pixiv name (forum #219009). If they're truly different artists then another artist hijacked this tag and it should be reversed and separated properly, or they need to be checked again more thoroughly.

For example: post #6245821 comes from solcha's Twitter but is reposted to MEROPI's Pixiv as post #118435092 (and originally on the Twitter as well).

BUR #52461 has been approved by @WRS.

I'm going to undo your changes through merging these two tags back together. None of those things actually point towards them being different artists, in fact, it gives more credence to them being the same: virtually everything in their history, links, art style and otherwise show that they're the same but only later separated their male-focused content from their female/other content, ergo, they shouldn't have been split.

If either the artist requests that we keep their profiles separate or there's something more sufficient in the future that reveals that they actually are two different artists that are merely uncanny similar in nearly every way but aren't the same person, this can be revisited.

I guess that was my mistake. I was initially quite sure they were two different artists. But when I looked at the links more closely, I started to have initial doubts (1735). I also think it's best to put it back the way it was. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No worries, just double check that you're sure they should be separated before committing any tag changes or feel free to ask in topic #7713 if you'd like someone else to confirm. There's many people that handle artist tags that would be willing to help out that regularly post in that topic, myself included (although I've taken a break for a month or two after doing a large volume of them in the past).
