i remembered this tag's existence again today. the issue with this tag is that it's actively being used for two things - something i wanted to address back when i wrote the wiki about a year ago, but i was just a member back then and didn't have the confidence to go on the forum.
the two current uses of the tag are:
- posts where a visible flash of light is emitted from a camera: think post #8535753, post #7604204, and
- posts where the picture itself imitates a photo taken with camera flash on: think post #8880956, post #8591435.
i'm interested in figuring out what to do with the latter category of posts. attentive readers will notice similarities between this situation and another unresolved thread of mine
on one hand, creating a tag somewhat like pov camera flash sounds nice. on another hand, i'm wondering if these can be filtered into an existing tag, such as chiaroscuro. (though i feel like chiaroscuro specifically risks poisoning a tag for an established art term)
i'm conflicted on what to do, so i'm making this thread in hopes that any interested viewers can give advice.
