By my count, between 75% and 85% of all posts tagged sack are Santa Claus or Christmas related. In my mind, this is a major reason why the tag sack has survived in the face of the broader and more common bag. People have a preference (myself included) to refer to Santa's pocket dimension as a sack, not a bag, probably for traditional reasons. This BUR identifies sacks occurring alongside Christmas tags and of those, replaces the sack tag with the proposed santa's sack.
Part of my motivation for doing this is to work towards eventually getting sack, exclusive of santa's sack, to become a subset of bag, which reflects my understanding of these words. Even if that doesn't fly, I still think this would be useful, if for no other reason than it would be easier to find sacks not associated with Christmas.
