I could be wrong, but I'd still wait until it is presented in the game before making a change.
Miyabi's banner here https://youtu.be/b3hvT3h0yHk?si=XMWXT_DgQfgbVMSm&t=862 also has cursive text "Void Hunter". Doesn't mean her full name is Void Hunter Miyabi.
And Harumasa's https://youtu.be/b3hvT3h0yHk?si=dIr0SyBHXvJOTmM8&t=977 has this cursive text "Harumasa" a with more bigger serif text "Harumasa" below. It's not always consistent with how it's presented.
False equivalence, that's a different patch. There's a clear consistency for the presentation of the characters in this livestream. It's also just in the news announcement itself. Though if you need to use other versions as reference: 1.5 also has characters with a last name that have a consistent reveal card. 1.6 doesn't show them for Trigger or Anby so Pulchra's doesn't show either. 1.4 just puts them on the cards themselves. The livestreams aren't the only source of information.

I want to add this leak to the possible confirmation of her full name (this is the little video that plays on the TVs when you pull the agent on the gacha):

I've checked out on other characters and some like Trigger it just says her name without adding anything to it (In Trigger's case it says Trriger though). S0 Anby is one that says "Soldier Anby" instead of "Anby Demara" though my two cents is that is to make a difference between that version and her Rank A one.
That's literally datamined content, which means that's what's in the preloaded game files. I don't know how even that isn't enough to convince you that's not her full name besides the fact that it's already been shown prior. You are buying me a six pack of apple juice boxes later for this blatant denialism.

I mean, we can just wait like a week or so instead of relying on leaks? Her banner is coming soon anyway.
Once it's confirmed in the game, then go ahead and proceed with the change.
If you're not fine with it being datamined, it's again in both an official announcement by Mihoyo above and a livestream vid. If that's not enough for you, that's just being nonsensically obstinate.
Man, I wonder where I could've figured this out. From the livestream, where Hugo and Vivian had the same namecard styles? Couldn't be, a completely unrelated patch with different namecard displays is proof that "Banshee" could've just been some random flavour text, but "Vlad" is not random text even though it was rendered the exact same way as Vivian's. Maybe an announcement somewhere could help? Nah, still jumping the gun. An official announcement with their last name showing is still too early to tell. How about datamined content from the preload? Nope, even that isn't in-game enough to be in-game.
Now go buy me a six pack of apple juice boxes for rejecting the evidence of your eyes.
Sorry if it sounded like I was rejecting the change. I just wanted a more concrete confirmation since outside of that teaser in the livestream, she was never once mentioned as Vivian Banshee (instead, just Vivian) in their social media. And I think leaked characters' names such as rokudu_sariel are subject to change as well.
Now that I've seen it in game, I have no problem with it.

forum #347175 Does this post just not exist? You ignored it the first time around too. There was nothing more concrete than absolutely anything at all that said Banshee after the namecard style was revealed but absolutely nothing was enough for you. No one was even discussing a leak anymore, it was datamined preload content. It was just unnecessary obstinance over something that was already revealed.
If the namecard styles were different (e.g. Hugo's didn't show "Vlad") then it would be more reasonable to say there's no hard evidence yet, but in this case there was already two points that were more than enough.
"There's no harm" is a bad handwave dismissal in any discussion that shuts down any reasonable conversation; it's not a good argument to use. It's not about taking it too seriously, it's about being confused why blatant and concrete information was supposedly "not enough information".
If there wasn't any concrete evidence of the character's name, it'd be a different story. In that case you'd be writing a wrong BUR from the getgo and have to reject it later and come up with a new one that aliases to the proper name. That wasn't the case here though; the name was quite explicitly stated, and people were performing some serious mental gymnastics about it.
Either way, an admin has to accept it, so all problems with this BUR were imaginary. And this isn't just a one-time issue; people here often seem to reject clear evidence. No reasonable person would put two similarly designed namecards together and look at them differently. If Banshee is flavour text, why is Vlad not? And if Vlad is a last name, then why is Banshee not? Denying this connection is pointlessly random.
The name was dropped even before the game. That's my whole point, there was no point propping up a string of denialism over something that was already shown to be true beforehand. There's a legitimate case to be had for not aliasing ahead of time for leaked characters without official media like Rokudu Sariel as previously mentioned because the final localisation can change.
Either way; yes, sure. Now there's "acceptable enough" evidence that it can't be denied by any attempt to stretch it, so that settles the matter.
