As I've said in forum #274177, I think this is how this character tag should've been formatted, so that the qualifier is consistent with the other existing character tags:
It seems this character tag was written this way because of the existing blue_archive_the_animation copyright tag, which leads to my next BUR...

As I've said in comment #2399187, I think this copyright tag is unnecessary, for the same reason we don't have arknights_(anime) or princess_connect!_(anime), etc.
Maybe this copyright tag would make sense if it's like pokemon_(anime) where the anime seems to have its own continuity that somewhat differs it from the games, justifying the copyright tag, but for blue archive, it's just too early to make this call.

That's because just like the case with the pokemon (anime), perhaps even more so, Kancolle's anime adaptations have its own storyline and continuity (in fact I don't think the game itself has any plots at all), so the copyright tag is actually needed for any fanart depicting scenes exclusively from the anime.

Wouldn't it be better to change this to an implication instead of an alias?. All the *_(anime) tags I've seen are implications for the main series.

This is my feeling as well. For the time being, it's a trending topic that's nice being able to search for. We can always alias them later down the road if, after the show airs, there's not enough distinction in art between them.

You mean like post #7366406 or post #7370155, which specifically reference the PV? Or post #7389145 and post #7382003, which are official art from the anime?
I don't get this obsession with making our lives harder for no reason. How is someone supposed to search for official art or scene references for the anime without a tag for the anime?
My concern as always is people putting solo nude pictures of the girls in the tag that have nothing to do with the anime adaptation in particular. That being said I agree with Obst that its way too early to decide if it doesn't need a tag. At the very least for now it serves as a tag for the new sensei design, normally a unique feature like that is enough to justify a tag for new movies and whatnot.
