DP-12 is coming to GFL2 as Helen. I would add implication of her alternate skin to the base chartag, but it's still empty (and I'll leave the wiki-making to others instead)
I'm going to bring up this topic here because, honestly, I am now at my wits' end. So, MICA has made my job in organizing these tags way more difficult than I would've ever hoped, and now we're at a major crossroad.
Due to the current state of copytagging for GFL, which I complainedaboutelsewhere, we've so far been unable to properly handle several decisions taken by MICA when it comes to appearances and skins. Outlining them as follows:
1) it all began with Lainie, whose lore details I won't go into, what I wrote in UMP40 should be enough, but here we have the awkwardness that Lainie has a skin based on the base appearance of UMP40 in GFL1; we've so far allowed this to go untagged per current practices waiting on official English names for skin tags, but that's a theoretical three-tag implication chain where two of the tags' base appearances are presumably the same clothing-wise; this could get solved if we separate Lainie and UMP40, per recent decisions like separating Herrscher of Sentience from Fu Hua, which would be helped by the fact that even when wearing the same clothes they look different (though there would be a remaining issue with depictions of Lainie - when she was still just an OGAS using 40 as an avatar - in GFL1);

2) then we had the Girls' Frontline Neural Cloud collab announcements, where we made a distinct tag for Lewis (Girls' Frontline 2) separate from Lewis (Neural Cloud), to make it easier to search for the former's unique stuff, like Sunscreen Battle's new modular elements, and making a distinct tag for Jiangyu's Raindrop Cleaving Blades skin, so that its own context and modular elements don't dominate over what would otherwise be tagged Jiangyu (Neural Cloud); for that skin in specific, it doesn't help they literally used the same art as Neural Cloud, which inspired at least one user to tag post #7219583 with Exilium's copytag...
3) and now the main reason why I am writing this post: a new set of skins has been announced for Girls' Frontline 1 on CN, and in a shocking twist, one of them, for G28 (Girls' Frontline), is literally a version of her default appearance in Exilium as Belka, complete with having the same goddamn name, with "Leaping Signal" (跃动信号); what the fuck are doing we doing at this point, are we going to have to make a separate tag for that too???
I am going to fucking lose my mind if we continue any longer without a proper series umbrella tag for GFL, with the amount of redundancy we're building up here.

I guess the umbrella tag debate is going to be endless, if you'll insist on the reverse collapse version. I do remember someone saying, that most people refer to the whole franchise as "GFL universe" or something, rather than "Reverse Collapse universe". Plus, Reverse Collapse is a remake of Bakery Girl with adjusted for GFL timeline, not the other way around.

I mean, regardless of my insistance upon it, that doesn't resolve what evazion had said (forum #333019):
"I also don't like having a tag that's 95% the first game. The only benefit to this would be being able to search for content specifically from the first game, but GFL1 and GFL2 have so much overlap that that doesn't appear to be useful. Maybe that will change as we get more GFL2 posts."
Looking at the post front like I had in forum #322505, it's clear that GFL2 is gettingmoreuploads than GFL1, but GFL1 (et al) is about steady was it was previously, so we're nowhere close to resolving the issue of the series tag being largely dominated by the first game, regardless of what name we ultimately went for it (though I genuinely think that the opposing option won't get through, because that's going to cause a lot of (girls'_frontline) to (girls'_frontline_1) qualifier updates, due to the inevitable copytag update to avoid confusion, which would cause even more post changes).

Oh god;
4) they just announced that DSR-50 is going to be added to GFL2, and her default appearance in that game is inspired by her Highest Bid skin from the first game. Thankfully, in this specific case, the GFL2 appearance is different enough that it would count for its own tag, but this does mean that they could make things so much worse by deciding to turn a skin into a default when bringing over a past doll (watch this space for when they reveal what her default is called though, because she's getting a skin in GFL2, meaning we'll find out soon).

A plague on the developers of Girls' Frontline 2: 08:05 on this Bilibili showcase of Loreley shows very briefly her default costume's name, and it's... 最高出价, the Chinese name of the skin. They actually turned post #3880510 into post #10341765 and made it her default... the difference between the two are too stark...

Lainie cosplaying as the person who she based herself of
So, I'm going to propose a seperation BUR, and I'm going to have to explain my logic here because actually seperating the two is going to be more difficult than I imagined.
UMP40 as a character was introduced on July 27th, 2017 with the release of the Deep Dive event. While she was also given a playable unit, story-wise she was basically a flashback character, with her playable version being treated as this odd alt-universe version of herself. When UMP45 received her MOD3 in August 2018, we were introduced to a subconscious UMP40 within her system, which we would later learn during that month's event, Shattered Connexion, to be an OGAS imitation, something that would be confirmed in January 2020 with Polarized Light.
I'm going to make the argument that every official depiction of UMP40 since the reveal of OGAS-40 has actually been her: the Orchestra design (post #3270614), and her three skins. There is in-game precedent for this, as while the anniversary greetings are inconsistent, her Convolutional Kernel letter is specifically from OGAS-40. Doing it like this also means we avoid any hardship if any of her GFL1 skins become skins for Lainie in GFL2.
I'm opting to format the tag names as "UMP40 (OGAS)" and "UMP40 (Real)" to allow for ump40*(girls'_frontline) searches. UMP40 (OGAS) will be, at minimum, fanart referencing OGAS-40. UMP40 (Real) will meanwhile inherit the bulk of the non-OGAS and non-skin fanart, making it easier to find (back)story fanart and fanart that specifically wants to either fuck her or characterize her as a big sister to both 45 and 9.
For all intents and purposes OGAS40 and OOMP40 are one and the same. I don't see a good reason to separate the two, especially with Oomp's skins being relegated to OGAS.
