Pool #1851 rename request: 'Minority' > 'Uncommon_Origins'

As titled. There's a lot of incorrect posts inside the pool and most of the post inside there is unrelated to the pool.

'Minority' as per the wiki stated should only apply to characters with real world related backstory, and not characters with any semblance of racial appearance that is not European/East Asian. Therefore fictional characters that doesn't hail from Earth but have the related racial traits (like Ayukawa Miyuki, Barrett, Yuffie, Samus, Lenora, Sazh, Hououmaru etc) doesn't belong there.

Edit: as per result of browsing topic #25000 the request for deletion is changed to petition to rename the pool instead.

In case you didn't know, making it a tag would actually be worse for your stated problems. Tags are, most of the time, used for visual identification. If it's made into a tag, then we would be inclined to specifically ignore meta information and only tag characters based on their appearance in the image. Which is probably why it's a pool and not a tag, if backstory is a major criteria.

I wasn't involved in any discussions surrounding the pool, though, so maybe that's wrong.

Interesting, so the votes are actually going for the deletion but it doesn't went through.
Then I'd like to petition a namechange for the Pool to be 'Uncommon Backstories' or something like that. As tapnek already stated, 'Minorities' is too broad of a term to serve as umbrella, and depending on where you comes from the 'minorities' might be a 'majority' instead. However, other members' argument also makes sense that the pool itself, when being used correctly of course, could still serve as a pool and not downgraded as a tag.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that this has anything to do with backstory, because that's not what the page you linked to says. If you read "ethnic background" and thought it meant backstory, you are mistaken.

I mean, the pool is (supposedly) used to contain posts that has uncommonly used backstories...which comes in 'exotic' ethnic background to the west.
Yeah, I need to think the pool name harder.

Edit: maybe 'Uncommon Representation'?
