It's a company name just like mcdonalds is.
If we treated every brand name like a copyright tag, copytags searches would be even less useful than they already are.
It's bad enough that most mcdonald's posts don't actually have any mascot characters from the brand, but that's just an unfortunate limitation due to the way tag types work. If we could treat it as a general tag on posts where all you can see is the logo, we probably would have done that a long time ago.
