They're the same thing. naughty face and naughty smile were merged in topic #4899 11 years ago.

If someone is tagging naughty face on posts without a smile or smirk they're using it wrong anyway.

The wiki for seductive smile unsurprisingly lists as an arbitrary distinction that it's "similar to naughty face, but the look is more inviting and assertive, instead of teasing and mischievous. Also known as "bedroom eyes."", but obviously nobody's going to care for such a definition.

There's a ton of open-mouth images under naughty face that probably wouldn't be tagged smile.

I'd rather the reverse alias occur.

naughty face doesn't require there to be a smile, and often the expression is closer to "mischievous" than "seductive".

post #4591358 would count as a light smile, and I can't see how anyone would tag post #4457783 as a naughty face. She looks uncomfortable.

If you don't like that example, there's still a lot under naughty_face -smile -light_smile parted_lips and not everything there is missing a tag. My point is it wasn't a requirement or definition for naughty face to contain a smile, and there are certainly ways to be seductive or mischievous without one (think maybe a submissive but inviting expression).

The majority of those were mistags, which I fixed, but I'll accede that post #382084 and similar are not seductive smiles. Still think they should be merged though.

I do see some merit in merging these two tags, the difference between them can be pretty blurry. But I'm not sure which tag name would be better, or if we should come up with a new one and alias both to it.

There are many posts under naughty_face where the expression is not even close to a smile. This has already been discussed above.

And there are posts under seductive_smile where the expression is too subtle to call it naughty face. For example post #4772332, post #4772350, post #4770339, post #4748132, post #4734926.

Perhaps it would be better to write clearer definitions, do some tag gardening, and keep them separate.

Not sure about the second option as I'm not really into seductive smile but I can see why people would like to keep them separate.
