Considering FGO more than likely has displaced the originals in notoriety (or, at least, visibility), it's time to go with a single unified standard for all characters. It's not like their identities are much of a spoiler anymore anyways. The later part is for maintaining consistency. Basically, use how we are already tagging all of the variations of Elizabeth Bathory as the standard for all Fate characters.

Can we at least have aliases then? The reason I ended up noticing this is because I tried to look for medea_lily not realizing she's listed as caster_lily.

Problem with aliases is that they show up in the tag page, and they also show up in the autocomplete for unrelated matters. That's the reason why similar requests were rejected previously (such as a certain spoiler from mahou shoujo madoka magica or kurama from naruto).

The "consensus" in the previous topic ended up to be that F/SN and Fate Zero character names are spoilers and should stay as class names, also because those characters are traditionally known more by their class than their true name. This is kind of a mess currently for Saber given the countless variations, but it becomes a pretty serious matter for spoilers like Archer or even Rider.

I'd be in favor of some of your proposed updates, such as the Cu Chulainn alter/caster moves (though not the main lancer tag), simply because that'd make them more coherent to the rest of the recently changed tags (like Tamamo's ones), but fate tags are kind of a hot topic so others will likely want to chime in. Just keep in mind that large changes are less likely to go through given the amount of consensus necessary and the amount of posts affected, and Fate's a pretty large copyright right now, so I'd just start with one archetype (lancer, for example) at a time and see how it goes from there.
