[REJECTED] Tag alias: hair_pull -> hair_grab

Posted under Tags

create alias hair_pull -> hair_grab

Link to alias

There really is no need for a tag specifically used only on images where it is meant to cause discomfort. The hair_grab tag is both for gentle and not gentle hair pulling. If the tags are not merged, we would either have to create a third tag meant only for gentle hair grabbing... or remove all violent/harmful hair grans/pulls from the hair_grab tag.

I vote that we simply just merge the two tags into one.

EDIT: The tag alias hair_pull -> hair_grab (forum #147470) has been rejected by @Hillside_Moose.

For me at least, the two are different and the intent for both is different. However, I noticed that a large amount of the hair pull could be hair grab instead. It's in good need of a tag gardening.

On a side note, most of the *_pull tags are clothing related, so should we perhaps use a different verb for body parts like yank instead, and leave pull to the domain of clothing only.

Wouldn't using a different verb simply make it harder to use? Seems unnecessary IMHO.

I'd suggest aliasing these tags to grabbing another's hair and grabbing own hair instead. There's a difference between pulling someone else's hair (post #2245) versus playing with your own hair (post #3130368). It's just that currently these tags are too poorly named and defined to maintain a clear distinction between the two.

Actually, that makes even more sense. I agree. This would settle it nicely.
