Full-Package Futanari mistagging

Posted under Tags

I see the "full-package_futunari" tag misused a lot, mainly in cases where there is no evidence of a vagina, contrary to the stated intent of the tag on the wiki. I think the term "package", laden as it is with the slang meaning of "male genitals", may be the issue; that is, I think many users assume "full-package" means only "having a penis AND testicles", and nothing to do with presence of female genitals. It's clear that many who apply the tag don't read the wiki, as such misuse is clearly proscribed there, so I submit that changing the tag to "full-set futanari" (or similar without the term "package") might help avoid erroneous assumptions of the tags intent.

I don't believe changing full-package futanari to something else will make any difference; several of the individuals who regularly use this tag in the manner you describe are long-time users who are familiar with the wiki, so ignorance of the tag's definition isn't the problem. Also, newhalf gets used in much the same way, so the name of the tag isn't at fault either.

The real problem here, I think, is confusion over which tags to use when the visible parts in an image conflict with the artist's stated intention. The wiki's definition makes no exceptions for tagging according to a character's canonical anatomy, but in practice, our "tag what you see" mantra isn't always applied so rigorously, especially when it comes to tagging biological sex. The presence of usage rules not codified in the wiki (forum #98875, for instance) muddies the waters a bit.
