Shouldn't character tags be aliased to the series they're part of?

If a subject from a series is present in a picture it would then warrent the copyright tag they belong to, correct? Then for example shouldn't there be an alias for all touhou and kantai girls to their respective series?

Is there a reason this shouldn't be done?

A) This would be an implication not an alias. B) It would be a massive amount of work for almost no benefit. For reference there are over 110,000 character tags, and realistically if someone knows the character it's nearly impossible they can't at least figure out the copyright.

Agreed, plus we already have the buttons "Related Tags", "Artists", "Characters", and "Copyrights" to aid in tagging.
